Use a common project brief
Include the load, route, duty, site conditions and available services. State which requirements are confirmed and which need engineering review. Attach the same drawings and revision references to every enquiry.
Ask for assumptions in writing
Request an explicit list of exclusions, operating assumptions, documentation and spare parts. Compare proposals against the same scope, not just the headline price. Keep supplier claims separate from independently verified evidence.
This guide introduces questions and requirements for further review. It does not replace engineering assessment, equipment instructions or site safety procedures.
